On 08-09 of April, the EU4Justice Project based on the planned activities and upon HPC’s request organized a two-day training on “EU Best Standards and Practice – Improve Legal Services and Increase Efficiency”, with the participation of HCP staff and delivered by two Short-Term Experts mobilized for this training. This workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of the HPC Legal Services and Legal Advisors. The training covered presentations, discussions, best use cases, and exercises on issues such as the legislative technique and legal drafting, including drafting administrative acts; EU standards of judicial reasoning reflected in the reasoning of the Council’s decision; Communication of the Council with Media and the public, including Council’s measures and stance in protecting the figure of the prosecutor; Disciplinary cases – real cases of a final decision of the Council, an appealed decision of the Council, and a decision of the Council which has been reviewed by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR); Handling conflict of interest cases of the Council member exercising his/her duty.
EU4JUSTICE is an EU Contribution Agreement Project implemented by AICS, Expertise France, and FIIAPP. The project’s overall objective is the improvement of the capacity of the independent justice institutions in Albania.
