On November 3 – 7, the EU4Justice Project organized a Study Visit for the members of the High Judicial Council to the Spanish Judicial Council in Madrid, Spain. In the meetings held during this visit, Mr. Álvaro Renedo Zalba, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Albania, was also present.
The primary goal of the study visit was to strengthen the capacity and enhance the efficiency of the Council through exchanging experiences and sharing best practices of working with the counterpart institution.
To this end, meetings were held with representatives of the Spanish Judicial Council in Madrid, the High Court as well as representatives of various entities, including: Continuing Training Service, Judicial Inspection, Citizens’ Aid as well as the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Public Administration and Policy (FIIAP). The visit was finalized with the meeting organized at the School of Magistracy, headquartered in Barcelona.
This visit, among other things, also served as a platform to promote international cooperation and dialogue between the judicial bodies of Albania and Spain, especially in the context of the opening negotiations for Albania’s membership in the European Union.
