From 19 to 21 February 2024, EU4Justice mobilized an STE mission, aimed at assisting the High Prosecutorial Council (HPC) with the revision of Regulation ‘On Performance Evaluation of Chairperson of Prosecution Office and Methodology of Evaluation’, which was approved by the Council on its Plenary of 30 November 2023 by providing expertise and deliver recommendations to improve this regulation based on best practice and EU standards. The expert will also support the HPC Working Group in drafting the sub-legal act ‘On Annual Workload Rate of Prosecutors’, by revising the preliminary draft and providing recommendations and concrete proposals to the HPC working group, based on best practices and EU standards as the acts are important for the status of prosecutors, especially for the professional performance evaluation of prosecutors, and establishing consistent standards for the quality and quantity of the work of magistrates.
