The 2nd Stakeholders Committee Meeting of the EU4Justice Project, an EU and EU Member States (Italy, France, and Spain) co-funded Project, was held on April 22, 2024, in the premises of the High Judicial Council, Tirana. The EU Ambassador to Albania, H.E. Silvio Gonzato, representatives of all consortium partners – Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS), Fundación Internacional y para Iberoamérica de Administración y Políticas Públicas (FIIAPP), and Expertise France (EF), along with the presence of project’ beneficiaries and other stakeholders, attended the meeting to discuss the Progress Report for the 1st year of project implementation and the next work plan of the project.
The overall objective of the project is to support the judiciary governance institutions in Albania to implement justice reform by strengthening their independence, transparency, efficiency, accountability, improving inter-institutional coordination, and building public trust in the justice system in line with the European standards and best practices. focused on improving the performance of HJC, HPC, and HJI in the consolidation of justice system independence, accountability, transparency, and functionality.
With the official starting date of February 03, 2023, and a budget of 3.43 million Euros, the project will last 24 months.
